Opportunities:

“Join Dementia Research” by the National Institute for Health and Care Research.

Join Dementia Research is a service that connects registered volunteers with dementia researchers across the UK who are looking for people to join their studies.

Simply sign up to the online platform; you will then be matched with studies you may be able to take part in, both online, nationally and in your local area.

Register as a donor to Alzheimer Scotland’s Brain Tissue Bank.

Much of our current understanding of Alzheimer’s disease, and other types of dementia, is a result of studying brain tissue generously donated by individuals.

Brain tissue donation from people diagnosed with dementia is vital to finding better treatments for the diseases that cause dementia, to assist research now and in the future.

What: Our Forum is open to all researchers and groups exploring dementia and ageing across the University of Edinburgh. We meet monthly to connect and collaborate in a welcoming, interdisciplinary setting.

Open to: Students and members of staff at the University of Edinburgh with an interest in dementia and/or related fields.
